Executive Sport Management Training – Level 1

Course Requirements

To successfully enroll and participate in the Executive Sport Management Training – Level 1 program, participants are expected to meet the following requirements:


1. Educational Background

  • Tertiary education in sport, business, management, or related fields is an added advantage but not mandatory.


2. Professional Interest

3. Technical Requirements

  • Access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

  • Stable internet connection for online learning and course access.

  • Basic computer literacy (email, web browsing, document viewing).


4. Language Proficiency

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, as the course is delivered in English.

Course Description

The Executive Sport Management Training – Level 1 course provides participants with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of sports leadership and management. The program covers key areas including governance, strategic planning, sports marketing, financial management, event operations, and organizational development through four structured micro-courses:

  1. Management of Sport Organizations – governance frameworks, leadership, policy development, and strategic planning.

  2. Sport Marketing – branding, sponsorship, fan engagement, and digital communication strategies.

  3. Basic Finance Management – budgeting, financial reporting, and financial sustainability in sport organizations.

  4. Sport Facility and Event Management – venue operations, event planning, logistics, risk management, and service delivery.


Designed for aspiring and emerging sports leaders, this program equips learners with practical tools and global insights to effectively manage sports organizations, events, and teams. Through a blend of theory, case studies, and applied learning, participants will develop the confidence and professional competence required to lead successfully in the dynamic and evolving world of sport.
